According to the new US ambassador to Ghana Robert Jackson, America is confident Ghana will sail through the elections without a blemish.“This is a unique year for our democracies, we have November, your country will vote, 24 hours later and my country will go to the polls. In both cases, I’m confident that it will continue to the traditions of peaceful, credible election.“I feel that it’s worth restating that United States’ interest is only in the credibility of the election, it’s up to the people of Ghana to decide their future and we look forward to work with the Electoral Commission, civil society to assist in supporting the next election,” the Ambassador assured President Mahama when he presented his letter of credence to him at the Flagstaff House Wednesday.
