A Ghanaian immigrant, Francis Kofi Okrah, who got imprisoned by the Manchester Crown Court in the UK, Kofi Okrah has had his jail term extended by six weeks for raping a 22-year-old lesbian.Kofi Okrah who was handed down a seven year jail sentence had his jail term extended.
A report by the Daily Mail, reveals that Okrah had gone to the court to have his jail term reduced claiming his trial was unfair. Okrah said his defence lawyer Nicholas Clarke had been ‘too soft’ on his victim and should have cross-examined her hard enough to reduce her to tears during his trial.Meanwhile government is yet to comment on the sentence extension as expectations are high over whether government would file for a prisoner transfer
