Ashanti regional Security Council has declared curfew at Tafo in Kumasi
following clashes between Muslims and non-Muslims in the area.The Chief Executive office of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Kojo Bonsu and the regional Police commander DCOP
Kofi Boakye announced the decision a while ago.Personnel of the military and Police have taken over affairs in the community.Over three hundred vehicles have reportedly been burnt in the clashes.One person has been confirmed dead in the clashes. The 30-year-old Suleman died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.According to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako Justice, the two groups are fighting over the cemetery in the area.
