Residents of Oleran Chemwokter village in Narok County are in shock after a man they buried five days ago
resurfaced.
Paul Kiric, 46, was
reported to have gone missing three years ago, with a search for him
ending at the Narok mortuary where he was believed to have been taken
after he was said to have drowned at a nearby river, Citizen TV
reported.
His family "buried
him" five days ago, only for the father of four to return from a nearby
village where he said he had gone in search of a job.
The family is now
planning to exhume the body they buried after realising that they buried
a wrong person. The family will also undergo cleansing according to
traditions.
Narok County has
been experiencing perennial flooding, with reports indicating that over
10 people died during the El Nino rains that started in October last
year.
