Floyd Mayweather is charging fans up to £2,000 to meet him as part of his European Victory Tour.
Mayweather
retired last September after beating Andre Berto for his 49th
professional victory and has since visited Russia, India and Turkey.
He will appear in eight cities in the UK over a two-week period next month, starting in Cardiff. In a short video he said: “I cannot forget about my great fans in the UK. The UK, the undisputed kings. See you soon.”
Standard
tickets for the Bristol and Cardiff legs of the tour are available from
£45 for a night hosted by Sky Sports boxing presenter Johnny Nelson.
But a picture with Mayweather will cost an additional £200.
The
shows in Glasgow, London and Manchester include a three-course dinner
and tickets are priced at £200, £300 and £500 respectively but do not
include a photograph. For that opportunity, fans will have to pay £450 in Glasgow, £600 in London and £1,000 in Manchester.
But the most expensive option is the platinum package in Manchester – a whopping £2,000.
For
that, fans will get an extended meet and greet with the former
five-weight world champion in one of the suites at Manchester United’s Old Trafford’s ground.
The London show, which lasts three-and-a-half hours, will be hosted by Jonathan Ross and features a charity auction. |
